Albouystown man remanded for rape

Forty-nine-year-old Sherwin Leitch of Lot 133 James Street Albouystown was yesterday charged with rape of a child under the age of sixteen.
Leitch appeared in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts before City Magistrate Judy Latchman and was not require to plead to the charge.
The felony is said to have been committed on May 12, last.
The matter was held in camera. The accused will make his next court appearance on June 29.
