Dear Editor,
Over the past weeks, Member of Parliament Mr. Harry Gill has written quite a number of letters to the newspapers mostly condemning others and proclaimed himself to be a moral human for the PPP party he represents.
Well Mr. Gill should answer to the Honorable House of Parliament many questions about himself as to the status as a foreign citizen knowing according to the Laws of Guyana such a citizenship cannot become a Member of Parliament because of the fact Mr. Gill did not serve Guyana and as he lived most of his life in another country contributing their and he is receiving a retirement benefit from all the TAXES he paid in that foreign country.
The Laws of Guyana require MP, Harry Gill to give up his foreign citizenship in order to serve in the Parliament of Guyana. I doubt he will ever do it. It is grossly wrong fort the taxpayers to be paying MP Harry Gill. He is unjustly occupying a seat in Parliament. I believe that Mr. Harry Gill should do the honorable thing in resigning knowing that he has deceived the Guyanese public at large. If MP Harry Gill is a true patriot to Guyana let his partisan be proven as a Guyanese or Canadian or American or British as to which citizenship he would keep.
This is another example of the unethical nature of the PPP/C and to date many of the leadership from the Peoples Progress Party are in court for crimes committed against State. It seems a norm that PPP/C MPs think of these crimes as normal and cannot be worried. When the PNC lost in 1992 none of the PNC MPs was before the Court for crimes against the State. So MP. Harry Gill where are your morals?
