Farm, Savage and Regal All Stars registered victories when the Regal Sports softball tournament continued on Sunday at the Everest Cricket Club.
Playing in the open category Farm defeated Regal All Stars by two wickets. Regal All Stars batted first and made 109 all out off their allocation of 12 overs. Safraz Esau scored 31, while Mohamed Rafiek got 28. Kishan Ramkumar claimed 3-18, Rawl Reid 2-18, Amir Khan 2-20 and Ajay Kishan 2-30.
Farm responded with 115-8 in 11.2 overs. Sachin Ramsarran got 29; Ralph Layne made 27 and Patrick Khan 16. Mohamed Ayube snared 3-6 and Delroy Pereira 2-25.
A five-wicket haul by Ayube propelled Regal All Stars to a three-wicket victory over Success. Ayube bagged 5-8 as Success were sent packing for 61 in 10 overs, batting first. Dindyal Lakram made 26. Regal All Stars replied with 64-7 in 9.3 overs with Ayube scoring 23.
In the Masters category, Savage beat Ariel by 10 runs. Savage took first turn in the middle and scored 108-7 off their allocation of 15 overs. Ramo Malone stroked three fours and a similar number of sixes in a top score of 52, while Navindra Pooran made 17. Rudy Rodrigues picked up 3-14, Ron Ramnauth 2-20 and Dennis Mangru 2-21. Ariel were restricted to 98-9 in reply. Rodrigues led with 52 which contained four fours and four sixes while Mangru got 19. Pooran Singh captured 2-18.
Previously, Farm defeated Speed Boat by two wickets. Speed Boat were bowled out for 115 batting first. Anand Bharat made an even half century, while Rawl Reid grabbed 4-13 and Amir Khan 3-17.
Farm got to 115-8 in 12 overs in reply. Quazim Yusuf made 23; Greg Singh had two wickets.
