Red Jet burns them up to take the double on wet day
Despite the inclement weather it was the Shariff Racing Stable that took charge of

However, despite the clammy and wet conditions there was no stopping Red Jet as it used the opportunity to burn its opponents into submission in winning two races.
Despite all of the above it was the Jumbo Jet Stable with two wins and some other placings that was adjudged champion stable of the day.
The adage that good things comes to those who wait and revenge is sweet is the talk of the Shariff stable at the moment. The stable being denied twice in the feature event in the last two race meets due to varying circumstances. This time there was no stopping the Shariff from taking control as they won the feature event with the ever improving Settling Star ridden by the experienced Yap Drepaul seizing the opportunity to enact revenge as it destroyed a top notch field to win the race for D3 and lower animals.
The animal trained by Zahir Shariff has been improving steadily over the years and is definitely one to watch. With a strong finish and crafty riding by the wily Drepaul, it blew past its opponents down the homestretch to take the $1M first prize and trophy compliments of Beverage Giants, Banks DIH Limited.
Nine animals took part in the event as Settling Star finished ahead of Just Call Me Boss and
It’s My Choice with Brave Sky placing fourth.
Results of the other events saw –the J2 and K lower race saw champion horse Red Jet of the Shamsundar stable piloted by Wills winning from De Rocket, Confusion and Ready to Romance.
The H3 n lower race was won by Red Rocket of the Jumbo Jet stable with Randolph Richmond as it blew away Big man Boss and Quiet Dancer.
The G1 and lower event was won by It’s My Choice of the Jumbo Jet Stable again with Randolph Richmond from Campador of the Shariff stable.
The race for horses considered cow and cart horses was won by Irish Boy from Lucky Lucky and Jack and All.
Red Jet returned to burn the filed in the event for 3yrs old and I and lower horses as it won from Seven Dust, Party Time and Miss Olympic.
The top jockey was Randolph Richmond. Top trainer award went to Nazrudeen Mohammed Jr, of the Jumbo Jet stable, while the Jumbo Jet Stable was adjudged the top stable.
They received accolades compliments of Ramesh Sunich of the Trophy Stall of Bourda Market.
