An 18-year-old porter was yesterday remanded to prison by City Magistrate Judy Latchman after he appeared in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts to answer to a charge of robbery.
Bradford Wright, of Lot 153 James Street, Albouystown, pleaded not guilty to the allegation which stated that while being in the company of others and armed with a metal pole, on April 2, at the Sea Wall, he robbed Kenroy Lawrence of one Iphone.
Police Prosecutor Shawn Gonsalves objected to bail citing the seriousness and prevalence of the offence and the penalty the charge attracts.
The prosecutor further told the court that the defendant was positively identified by the Lawrence after an identification parade was held at the station.
The unrepresented man was remanded to prison and he will make his next court appearance on May 29.
