During the opening of tenders at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB), contractors vied for the contract to upgrade roads in low income housing schemes.
The contract was divided into five lots: Lot One, Tuschen (Phase Two) East Bank Essequibo; Lot Two, Section `EE` Non Pareil, East Coast Demerara; Lot Three, Block `D` Bath, West Coast Berbice; Lot Four, Ordnance Fortlands, Canje, Berbice; and Lot Five, Amelia`s Ward Phase 1B, Linden.
The procurement entity is the Central Housing and Planning Authority (CH&PA).
The Authority is also the procuring entity for the construction of roads, drains, structures and installation of pure water distribution network at Zeelugt Phase Three, Region Three (Essequibo Islands/West Demerara).
Tenders were also opened for the construction of roads, drains, structures and installation of pure water distribution network at Lust en Rust, West Bank Demerara.
Also, bids were submitted for the construction of roads, drains, structures and installation of pure water distribution network at: Lot One, Farm (Phase Two) East Bank Demerara; and Lot Two, Covent Garden, East Bank Demerara.
The Ministry of Indigenous Peoples’ Affairs is the procuring entity for the contract to construct a female dormitory at the Bina Hill Institute, Annai District Region Nine (Upper Takutu/Upper Essequibo).
Tenders were also open for the construction of a male dormitory also at the Bina Hill Institute.
The Ministry is also the procuring entity for the rehabilitation of fence and external works at the Indigenous Residence, Princes Street Werk-en-Rust Georgetown.
The Guyana Defence Force (GDF) is the procuring entity for the procurement of military uniform materials (camouflage tetrex polyester drill) military socks and under garments (jerseys).
The Ministry of Agriculture was listed as the procuring entity for the provision of security services for 2017.
This contract was divided into two lots: Lot One, security services for the Head Office; and Lot Two, security services for the Hydrometeorological Service Department.
The National Drainage and Irrigation Authority (NDIA) is the procuring entity for the rehabilitation of the NDIA No.58 Village D6R LGP CAT bulldozer located at Fyrish, East Berbice Corentyne.
The Ministry of Public Health is the procuring entity for the procurement of office furniture and equipment.
Tenders were opened for the supply of spares for the maintenance of buoys/beacons. The Maritime Administration Department (MARAD) is the procuring entity. Brenco Shipping and Trading Company Limited was the sole bidder with a bid price of $29.5M.
The Ministry of Public Security is the procuring entity for the procurement of janitorial, stationery and office supplies for the Guyana Fire Services (GFS).
The Public Security Ministry is also the procuring entity for the procurement of Community needs and asset assessment. The Consultancy Group was the sole bidder for this project. The company also submitted a financial proposal.
Tenders were also submitted for the procurement to conduct the Safe Neighbourhood Survey.
The Ministry of Education is the procuring entity for the procurement of dietary supplies for the National School Feeding Programme. Dabi’s Variety, with a bid price of $13.7M is the sole bidder for this project.
The Ministry is also the procuring entity for repairs and maintenance of the East Ruimveldt Secondary school.
Tenders were also submitted for the contract to repair and maintain the Cyril Potter College of Education.
Finally, under the Education Ministry, tenders were opened for the repair and maintenance of the Cummings Lodge Secondary School.
