Covent Garden, Charlestown and St. Mary’s registered victories when the Ministry of Education National Sports Commission in association with AL Sport & Tour Promotions inter zones Secondary Schools Windball Cricket Champion Trophy tournament continued recently at the National Gymnasium.

Covent Garden Secondary

Covent Garden beat Queenstown Secondary by 47 runs. Covent Garden Secondary posted 126 runs without loss batting first. Shoaib Roop struck 80 (9x6s), while Christ Sobers made 37.
Queenstown Secondary were limited to 79-1 in reply. Jeffrey Blair got 48 while Jonathan Bacchus and David McGarrell made 10 each.
Charlestown defeated Richard Ishmael Secondary by 54 runs. Batting first Charlestown scored 141 without loss, Mohammed Jameer hammered 92 ( 10x6s), while Brandon Volney got 31.
Richard Ishmael Secondary were restricted to 87-3 in reply. Juspiece Jones made 58 and Selah Thompson 10.
In the female segment, St. Mary’s overcame Charlestown Secondary by seven wickets.
St. Mary’s took first strike and managed 119-3. Ava Sundock slammed 79 (9x6s) and Crystal Grant 13. Saint Mary’s responded with 125-3. Aletha Callender made 66 (9x6s) and Avis Williamson contributed 22.
