Dear Editor,
Please publish this letter which relates to the non-representation from senior government officials on behalf of the disadvantaged. This is in relation to Mr. Hubert Cramer, an Amerindian who for over thirteen years is seeking his NIS old age benefits without success. Amerindians expect to be fully represented through their elected political and community leaders. Politically, Amerindians expect representation from the Ministry of Indigenous Affairs headed by two Amerindian Ministers along with several Amerindian Members Of Parliament, one a former Minister of the then Ministry of Amerindian Affairs.
All these esteem officials are aware of Mr. Cramer-Seon’s dilemma through your media and have failed to represent him allowing overshadowing of the incompetent and compromised administration of NIS. Are these esteeming Amerindians really representatives of their people? These esteem people are caretakers for themselves, happy with their portfolio, adore the limelight given, ignore the depressed. Mr. Editor, I hope this letter will prick the conscience of those mentioned. But will it? Let’s wait and see. Thanking you.
