With four days remaining before the scheduled staging of the 2nd Annual Boyce & Jefford Relay Festival & Family Fun Day the teams invited to participate in the 5-a-side football competition have signaled their intentions to be part of the day’s activities, at the Police Sports Club, Eve Leary.
The latest to confirm participation are Agricola Champion Boys, Broad Street Bullies, Sophia, Police, GDF and Camp Street All Stars and they will join West Front Road ‘Gold is Money’ who was the first team to confirm participation.
The Gravesande brothers Jimmy and Rocky will no doubt lead Broad Street Bullies quest for the first prize and they are expected to receive support from the likes of Jamal Cozier, Keiron Solomon and Darren Benjamin.
With the inclusion of Sophia, the tournament is now wide open and fans can be assured that the tournament which carries a first prize of $50,000 and a trophy will be loaded with talent and excitement.
Sophia will rely on the expertise of players such as Akeem Jaikissoon, Sheik and Joshua Kamal, Shemroy Arthur, Desmond Cottam and Dwayne Lowe to lead them to victory.
Agricola Champion Boys is another team that is on the rise and players such as the livewire Kacy John, Domini Garnett, Delroy Dodson and Gordon Grant to lead their attack and a crack at the top prize.
Wendell Austin, Dwayne Christopher and Steve Bacchus are the players on whose shoulders the responsibility will be to lead their team to the summit.
Meanwhile, Milo champions Chase Academy have confirmed their participation in the event and they are expected to take on Morgan’s Learning Centre, but this time it will be in the shorter version for a winner-take-all prize of $50,000.
