Dear Editor,
On the 15th April, 2017 MP Harry Gill and few PPP bad boys staged a bizarre protest at the Region 5 Expo and Trade Fair at Bath Settlement where the Region 5 Expo was held, astonishing both the Police and Business Community.
The bizarre protest with MP Harry Gill holding a placard that read about SARU while other protesters carried placards stating various messages which were clueless and confused everyone as to whom they were trying to protest against. The event was a Business Trade Fair promoting Region 5 Business Community and had nothing to do with any of the bizarre protesters’ messages from Freedom House led by MP Harry Gill.
The Region 5 Chamber of Industry and Commerce strongly condemns this action from the PPP/C because the organization is a non-political business organization and our special invitees included diplomats from embassies, overseas visitors, locals from the various communities and other Chambers of Commerce countrywide with whom Region 5 is seeking to do business. The Chamber has always advocated on behalf of the business community and even residents whenever matters of concern arose. We are building a relationship with the Government, so there was no reason for this bizarre protest towards the Chamber of Commerce. The Region 5 Expo and Trade Fair was a success and was well attended and supported.
