Even before they met each other in the final of the just concluded Milo 18 and under Schools Football Competition, both Chase Academy, who successfully defended their title, and Morgan’s Learning Centre were regarded as
the two best teams in the tournament.
That observation was reinforced following a riveting finale that had to be decided in a penalty shootout which unfolded before a crowd, considered to be one of the biggest to witness schools football in recent times.
Well, the two teams have an opportunity to once again showcase their talent when they square off in a friendly fixture on April 30, during the staging of the 2nd Annual Boyce & Jefford Relay Festival & Family Fun Day set for the Police Sports Club ground, Eve Leary.
It could also present Morgan’s Learning Centre with the chance of exacting revenge albeit in a friendly game even though whenever the schools meet the atmosphere is anything but welcoming.
Chase Academy will no doubt be depending on the services of players such as Ryan Hackett, Reshawn Ritch, Job Caesar, Nicholas McArthur, Jeremy Garrett, Malachi Adonis and Captain Kelsey Benjamin to maintain their stranglehold on their opponents.
On the other hand, David Coates, Osafo Matheson, Chris Macey, Adrian Adolph, Daniel Clarke and Orin Moore are the players on whose shoulders the responsibility will be to lead the charge for victory.
Should it be an encore of what was witnessed in the Milo final, then it is easy to predict that the anticipated packed house will not be disappointed.
