During the opening of tenders yesterday at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPATB), contractors vied for the contract to rehabilitate Main Access Roads.
This contract was divided into two lots: lot one, rehabilitation of the Linden/Soesdyke Highway; and lot two, the rehabilitation of Mon Repos Access Road, East Coast Demerara. The Ministry of Public Infrastructure is the procuring entity.
Bids were submitted for the supply and installation of one complete 4.0kWp grid connected photovoltaic system for the Guyana Energy Agency (GEA).
The Ministry of the Presidency was listed as the procuring entity for the supply of three re-conditioned 15- seater buses.
Tenders were opened for the rehabilitation of the Liverpool Health Centre Street, north of the public road. The procuring entity was listed as the Regional Democratic Council for Region Six (East Berbice/Corentyne).
The Ministry of Agriculture is the procuring entity for the procurement of earth moving and land preparation equipment. This contract was divided into three lots: lot one, for the supply, delivery and testing of earth moving equipment (excavators); lot two, the supply, delivery and testing of earth moving equipment (dozers); and lot three, the supply, delivery and testing of land preparation equipment (tractors and implements).
Tenders were opened for the construction of a new single flat Special Needs School at the Schoonord Housing Scheme, West Bank Demerara. The procuring entity is the Regional Democratic Council (RDC) for Region Three (Essequibo Islands/West Demerara).
The RDC is also the procuring entity for the construction of a new store for the Ministry of Education, Plantain Walk, Vreed-en-Hoop, Region Three.
Tenders were submitted for consultancy services for several projects for the Ministry of Education.

Finally, under the Education Ministry, tenders were opened for consultancy services for the construction of the St. Stephens Primary School Annex (Financial):
Tenders were also opened for the construction of a law enforcement Building (annex) at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA).
Tenders were opened for the construction of control structure and distributary at Parika, Region Three. The procuring entity is the National Drainage and Irrigation Authority (NDIA) of the Ministry of Agriculture.
The NDIA is also the procuring entity for the rehabilitation of structures at Boerasirie Conservancy, Region Three.
Tenders were also opened for the empoldering of farmlands in Kabkaburi, Upper Pomeroon Region Two (Pomeroon/Supenaam).
