In yesterday’s edition Kaieteur News carried a headline “Insulin shortage leads to increased diabetic cases”. This was inaccurately attributed to President of the Guyana Diabetic Association, Ms. Glynis Alonzo-Beaton.
What Ms Alonzo-Beaton said was that an insulin shortage could result because of an increase in the number of diabetic patients. We apologise for the misrepresentation and any embarrassment caused to Ms Alonzo-Beaton.
