Defending champion Beterverwagting (BV) ‘B’ will open up the defence of their title when they face Golden Grove South in the second fixture of a 15-match programme as action in the 5th edition of the Guinness ‘Greatest of the
Streets’ East Coast of Demerara leg commences tonight, at the Haslington Market Square.
In the first fixture of the evening, Nabaclis take on Lusignan Prison and already fans would know that teams representing the penal colony carry huge support so the former better be ready for the battle.

The event is expected to feature teams from East Coast communities as they battle for prize monies in excess of $600,000 including trophies.
The winning team will take home $250,000 and the Championship trophy along with the right to represent the zone at the National Playoffs in June that will feature teams from each leg, while the second, third and fourth placed finishers receive $150,000, $100,000 and $50,000 respectively.
