Mike’s Pharmacy through its brand “Well Teen”, UK’s No. 1 teenager product, together with the Trophy Stall, Tropical Spring Waters and Nauth Motor Spares of Sheriff Street have teamed up to sponsor a nationwide U-13 cricket tournament which is set to start on April 21.
All matches, except the Semi-finals, will be played at the DCC Ground on Lance Gibbs Street, Queenstown; the semi-finals will be played at Albion.
The first game bowls off at 16:00hrs, between the inaugural Day/Night champion Bel Air Rubis and Transport SC. Matches will be played also on Saturdays, Sundays and Wednesdays from 17:00hrs or 5pm.
This tournament is made possible through the collaborative efforts of The Guyana Floodlights Softball Cricket Association and The Demerara Cricket Club. Matches will be of 25 overs duration and will feature teams from Georgetown, East Coast Demerara, East Bank Demerara, West Demerara and a Select Berbice Team.
Any other teams desirous of participating can contact Shawn Massiah at 616-7240, Anil Persaud 624-6098, Anil Beharry 623-6875 or Ashmol Ally on 619-0531 or 652-5896 to register. Players qualified to play must born on or after 1st September 2003. Balls and umpires will be provided by sponsors.
