Plans for the hosting of the biggest ever Award Ceremony of Guyana’s leading youth and sports organisation have received a major boost with several major companies coming on board for the historic event. The Award

Ceremony would be held on Sunday 23rd of April, 2017 at the ST. Francis Community Developers from 12:30PM. Club Patron, President David Granger would be the Guest Speaker, while other speakers are expected to be Regional Chairman David Armogan, Mayor Vijai Ramoo, Director of Sports Christopher Jones and President of the Club, Keith Foster.
Secretary/CEO Hilbert Foster on Friday last received donations from several major donors of the Club. The Gift Centre of Hadfield Street donated two designer watches for the top two awardees, while the Royal Jewel House, another long-time donor contributed a Casio Wrist Watch for the Most Disciplined Cricketer, Farfan and Mendes Ltd, an official sponsor of the Club since 1997, donated eight trophies to cover all the Under-15 awardees and some general awards like Most Promising Player, Most Committed and Worker of the Year.
Apex Insurance Brokers Ltd contributed a large collection of gifts including perfume sets, designer clothing, collector pen set and personal care collections among others. Len’s Craft of Croal Street, Georgetown handed over bicycle for the Worker of the Year, AHL Kissoon donated two lazy boys, while Da Silva Optical contributed financially. The National Milling Co. Ltd contributed twelve hampers consisting of its products, while Factory Price of King Street, Georgetown donated three trophies.
Foster, who is heading the Planning Committee for the Award Ceremony, stated all systems are in place for the successful hosting of the awards. A total of 74 Club Members, Retired Teachers, Teachers of the Year (2016), Outstanding Law Enforcement Officers and Cricketers of the Lower Corentyne Secondary School would be honoured, while seventeen Outstanding Guyanese would receive the RHTY&SC, M.S highest Award – The Dolphin award of Excellence. The Club would also be launching the Patron’s Outreach Programme under which two schools, three churches and the Rose Hall Town Council would receive assistance. Several cricket Clubs would also be assisted to fulfil their mandates with a donation of gears and other items.
The RHTY&SC, M.S would like to express gratitude to Mr. Azeez of Royal Jewel House, Ms. Dione Lewis of the Gift Centre, Onai Vasconcellos of Farfan & Mendes Ltd, Ronald Williams of Apex Insurance, Alstair Parris of Len’s Craft, Hemraj Kissoon of AHL Kissoon, Dr. Frank SaSilva of DaSilva Optical, Bert Sukhai of Namilco and Mr. Tusie of Factory Price for their continued confidence in the Club.
