Guyanese left arm spinner Veerasammy Permaul has been drafted into the West Indies 14-man squad for the third and final match of the Brighto Paints Q Mobile Cup ODI Series against Pakistan at the Guyana National Stadium today.
Permaul has so far played six ODIs, taking eight wickets (average 30.0; economy rate 4.69).
Head Coach Stuart Law outlined that Permaul was called up as cover for fast bowler Shannon Gabriel, who is undergoing treatment on his right hamstring and will have a fitness test on the morning of the match. The game starts at 09:30 hrs.
West Indies- Jason Holder (Captain), Devendra Bishoo, Jonathan Carter, Miguel Cummins, Shannon Gabriel, Shai Hope, Alzarri Joseph, Evin Lewis, Jason Mohammed, Ashley Nurse, Veerasammy Permaul, Kieran Powell, Rovman Powell and Chadwick Walton.
Pakistan- Sarfraz Ahmed (Capt.), Ahmed Shehzad, Kamran Akmal, Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, Shoaib Malik, Imad Wasim, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Amir, Hasan Ali, Wahab Riaz, Asif Zakir, Fahim Ashraf, Junaid Khan, Mohammad Asghar and Mohammad Hafeez.
