Dear Editor,
Wednesday, March 29, 2017 edition of the Kaieteur Newspaper carried a letter captioned, “NIS pensioners have not received the last budget increase”. Editor, please be advised that the National Insurance Scheme has no former employee by the name Angelie Force nor does the National Insurance Scheme’s data base have such an Insured Person on record. The management of the Scheme is very concerned that someone would go to such lengths to discredit the Scheme to present a situation that does not exist. Finally, please note that all of our retired employees were paid their increases, which were not paid at 10% across the board, but according to the scale on which they fall.
