Twenty five youths from Bartica recently completed a six month Board of Industrial Training (BIT) in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Protection.
Heavy Duty Equipment Operator Officer, Earl Pestano stated that five females have already registered for the next programme, which is set to start this month.
The youths were trained specifically in the Heavy Duty Equipment Operation.
Deputy Mayor of Bartica Kamala Persaud explained to the graduates that they should not take the opportunity for granted because very soon the town will need the skills that they have acquired.
