Over $3M to be won, Crown Vibes International Sound on board
The Kennard Memorial Turf Club, at Bush Lot Farm, Corentyne, Berbice, will be a hive of activity when that entity in collaboration with Anirude and Son Construction Company take things to a different level. Thousands are expected to throng to the venue to be a part of the grand one day horserace meet and Duck Curry Competition.
Seven races are listed on the days programme with over $3M in cash, trophies and other incentives up for grabs.
The feature event is for horses classified E and lower and the likes of Golden Blue Echo, Goodwill Boy, Settling Star, Brace Sky, It’s MY Choice, Got To Go and Campador will be tearing up the track over seven furlongs for a first prize of $400,000M and trophy.
The H and lower race will have the likes of T and T, It’s My Turn, Cat Messiah, Chelsea, Super Bowl, Amazing Run, Campador and Isn’t She Charming competing for a winner’s purse of $220,000 and trophy over six furlongs.
Among the three years old maiden runners are Prince Saria, Miss Angelie, the Rock, King Stanley, Supreme Cat, Royal Paymaster, Crown Prince and Natural Beauty competing for the winners take of $150,000 and trophy over five furlongs.
A large field has taken entry for the ‘I’ class six furlongs event for a winner’s money of $160,000 and trophy. The list includes Party Time, Flow Joe, Red Region, Mary Ann, Miss Olympic, Red Jet, Awesome Cash, Secret Escape Plane Land, Little, De Rocket, Slim Shady and Amazon Warrior.
Big Man in Town, the Rock, Blondie, Royal Blaze, lil Dude, Secret Thinker, Party Don and Royal Son will be looking to have a grand time in the event for horses classified K and lower as they race for a winning package of $120,000 and trophy over five furlongs.
The L class non-winners five furlongs event for a winning pocket of $100,000 and trophy has Something Special, Blue Lightning, Unruly, Royal Control, Ebola and Call She Royal among others.
The winner in the L non-earners race is set to ride away with $80,000 and trophy also over five furlongs with Anabella, Country Boy, Sweet Silence, Royal Prince, Red Weasel, Blacka, Lil Dude, Prince Brian, So Silver and Wondering looking to put their name on the board.
Outstanding performers will receive trophies and other incentives compliments of Ramesh Sunich of Trophy Stall, Bourda Market and the organisers.
Other attractions will include games and a fun section for kids including trampoline, face painting and bouncy castle.
The duck curry competition will begin boiling at 10:00 hrs.
A big after race bashment with Crown Vibes International Sound System will follow.
