The Patron, Management and Members of the Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club, MS
is offering congratulations to Clinton Pestano on his selection in the Guyana team for the first class match against Barbados. Pestano, who is the Vice-Captain of the Rose Hall Town Gizmos and Gadgets First Division team, became the eight-member of the RHTY&SC, MS to represent Guyana at the senior level following in the footsteps of players like Assad Fudadin, Esuan Crandon, Royston Crandon, Andre Percival, Rajiv Ivan, Eon Hooper and Delbert Hicks.
Over the years Pestano has represented Guyana at the Under-15 and Under-19 levels and has developed into a fine all-rounder who can change the course of any game with both bat and ball. A dedicated RHTY&SC, MS member, he has matured into a disciplined and committed cricketer. Pestano is a positive role model to every junior cricketer of the Club and on a constant basis assists them with words of advice on how to improve themselves on and off the cricket field. His Guyana section is just rewards for his hard work and all of us at the RHTY&SC are confident that this is the start of a long journey representing Guyana and hopefully the West Indies in the near future. As we have always done, the Club would like to remind him of our formula for success – hard work, honesty, dedication, faith in the God we believe in and belief in the work we do.
The RHTY&SC would also like to also publicly acknowledge the contribution of the official sponsors of our cricket section – (Farfan and Mendes Ltd, Bakewell, Pepsi (DDL), Metro Office Supplies, Gizmos and Gadgets) for their huge input into the careers of players like Eon Hooper and Clinton Pestano. We would forever be grateful for their sponsorship as their assistance has resulted in Fudadin, Hooper, Pestano, Erva Giddings and Shemaine Campbelle either representing Guyana or the West Indies in 2017.
Pestano is currently in contention to receive the prestigious RHTY&SC, MS Cricketer of the Year Award at our 27th annual awards ceremony on the 23rd of April. Congrats Clinton Pestano you have made all of us proud at the Club and please be assured of our continued love and prayers, the club stated in a release.
