Nick Cara, known as “The New Boss”, head of GCW, will officiate as the “Special Guest Referee”.
MSCS has become synonymous with bringing World-renowned athletes and Superstars to Guyana.
For its 1st anniversary in 2015, the Producer, Mr. Max Massiah invited and hosted Guyanese-born Canadian resident, 2-time Ms World & 3-time Ms International Bodybuilding Champion Laura Creavalle, as a special guest during the “Show & Seminar” which was held at the National Cultural Centre. In 2016 MSCS was associated with the event “Silver Fox & the Grandmasters” which saw the Legendary Movie-Star Hwang Jang Lee (aka Silver Fox) along with other famous Grandmasters conducting a Martial Arts workshop at the Sports Hall.
“Mr. Max”, (as he is popularly known) is a dedicated sports enthusiast, himself being a 3rd degree Martial Artist, Certified Boxing Coach/Referee/Judge, been involved in Bodybuilding for over 30 years, and is Guyana’s (only) 2-time Hall-Of-Famer (inducted by the “Legends of Martial Arts Hall-of-Fame Commitee” of Pennsylvania, USA. He was presented in January of 2017 with a “Master of Martial Arts “GOLD” category Award -GUYANA” by WISDA (World International Self-Defense Association) and UWAMA (Unified World Association Martial Arts) of Barcelona, Spain.
Mr. Massiah leaves these shores shortly to attend the “EXPO 11 & Masters of Martial Arts Award Ceremony” which takes place in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on April 8th, 2017.
“It is at events such as those, that I am honored with the opportunities to meet some of the Worlds famous & accomplished athletes, Movie Stars, and Legends, such as Silver Fox, Martial Arts Queen & Movie star Cynthia Rothrock, 11-time World Kickboxing Champion and Movie Legend Don “Dragon” Wilson, and many others,” said Mr. Massiah.
He first met Dan Severn in 2015 at the “Legends of Martial Arts” event, where he was nominated for his 1st Hall-of-Fame Award, for “Extraordinary contributions to Martial Arts. That meeting with Dan in 2015 has now resulted in this magnanimous event in 2017, he said.
The TV host was excited about the fact that “this is not just picking up a few guys and calling it a wrestling event – this team consists of proven & accomplished professional wrestlers; World, country, & event Champions, so Guyanese can comfortably expect Wrestling Entertainment at its best, just as – if not better than what is seen on the TV with WWE wrestling”. The event is set to be streamed “live’ to several countries.
The TV producer proclaimed sincere gratitude to the sponsors of the programme, without which opportunities such as these would not be possible. They are: Jermin’s Enterprise, Fitness Express, Guyana Karate College, Nexgen Global Marketing, Fly Jamaica Airlines, Hand-in-Hand Insurance, Giftland Sportsmaxx, Fantaseafoods, Space Gym, Rosignol Butchery, Mike’s Pharmacy, C.I.D.I, & Superbet.
