During the opening of tenders at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB) yesterday, contractors vied for the contract to construct a sports complex at Carifesta Avenue, Georgetown.
The procuring entity is the Ministry of Education and the engineer’s estimate was announced at $21.5M.
Below are the names of the contractors along with their bids:
The Education Ministry is also the procuring entity for the contract to provide repairs and maintenance for the National Centre for Educational Resource Development (NCERD) building, Kingston Georgetown.
Bids were submitted for the design, supply and installation of a 400Kw solar farm at Mabaruma, Region One (Barima/Waini). The procuring entity is the Hinterland Electrification Company Limited.
Contractors also vied for the contract to construct the Central Anti-Narcotic Agency (CANU) administrative building. The engineer’s estimate was announced at $60.8M.
Tenders were opened for the design and supervision of the rehabilitation of the Commissioner of Police building, Region Four (Demerara/Mahaica).
Tenders were also open for the design and supervision of the rehabilitation of the ‘E’ Division Headquarters, Region Ten (Upper Demerara/Upper Berbice).
Also, tenders were open for the design and supervision of the Morawhanna Police Station, Region One.
The Ministry of Public Security is the procuring entity for the design and supervision of the rehabilitation of police stations in Regions Four and Five.
Under the Public Security Ministry, tenders were submitted for the design and supervision of the expansion of the Mazaruni Prison, Region Seven.
Finally, under the Public Security Ministry, tenders were open for the procurement of furniture and equipment for the Guyana Police Force (GPF). This contract was divided into two lots.
Tenders were open for the procurement and installation of marine fuel tank level measurement system for the Guyana Defence Force (GDF).
The Ministry of Health was listed as the procuring entity for the supply and delivery of medical equipment.
The Health Ministry is also the procuring entity for the contract to procure dietary supplies for the Community Health Worker Programme.
Tenders were open for the supply, delivery of bee handling equipment including protective and processing equipment and hives to the Guyana Livestock Development Authority (GLDA).
The Ministry of Indigenous People’s Affairs is the procuring entity for the extension of the dining area at the Indigenous residence.
The Indigenous People’s Affairs Ministry is also the procuring entity for the construction of the student dormitory at Liliendaal, Greater Georgetown.
The Regional Democratic Council for Region Nine (Upper Takatu/Upper Takatu) is the procuring entity for the construction of a nursery school at Yurong Peru Village, Central Rupununi.
Tenders were open for the extension/rehabilitation of the regional administrative building, Central Rupununi Region Nine.
Finally, under the Regional Democratic Council, bids were announced for the construction of a bridge at Rupununi with dimensions – 120 feet x 18 feet at South Central Rupununi, Region Nine.
