Mahaicony, East Bank Gunners, New Amsterdam (NA) Kings and Outsiders were the four teams vying for places in last night’s semifinal of the Berbice Zone Guinness ‘Greatest of the Streets’ Competition which continued, at the New Amsterdam Stelling Road, Berbice.
Mahaicony played against East Bank Gunners in the first semi-final, while NA Kings took on Outsiders with the winners advancing to the final, while the losers clashed for the minor spots.
The winner of the event was expected to receive $400,000 and the championship trophy, while the second, third and fourth placed finishers took home $150,000, $100,000 and $75,000 respectively along with trophies.
