All stars chalked up 78 games to win the final of the V Net Communications dominoes tournament which was contested on Sunday at the Wakenaam Community Centre ground in Good Success.
Quick Pick placed second with 65 games, while Sea Wall Boys finished third on 55. Mohamed Kalam and Khemraj Surujpaul scored 14 each for the winners, while Alex Chung and Nazeer Mohamed got 15 apiece for the runner up team.
Mohamed Sheriffudeen of Sea Wall Boys was the lone love bird, while Mohamed Kalam was named man of the match for sharing the only love in the final.
All stars stormed back from almost certain defeat to top Melville A and Melville B in the semi final. Led by Surujpaul who made the maximum 18 games All stars posted 73, while Melville B made 63 and Melville A 60. James Ramnarine and Mohamed Zaman supported Surujpaul with 14 and 13 games respectively.
In the first round, Seawall Boys made 89 games to beat Melville A 68 and Melville B 64. Quick Pick won their zone with 87 games ahead of All stars 72 and Eastern Wakenaam 62.
Krishundat Hansraj of Melville A, Alex Chung and Khemnauth Persaud of Quick Pick and Andrew Osbourne of Seawall Boys were outstanding in the first round scoring the maximum 18 games each. The top three finishers received trophies while the players expressed gratitude to Safraz Sherrifudeen CEO V-Net Communications.
