New sanitary landfill on the cards for Linden

During the opening of tenders at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Department (NPTAB) yesterday, contractors vied for the contract to carry out infrastructure works at Perseverance Phase Three, East Bank Demerara, Region Four (Demerara/Mahaica).

The contract was divided into two lots. The procuring entity is the Central Housing and Planning Authority (CH&PA).

CH&PA was also listed as the procuring entity for the contract to carry out infrastructure works at Amelia’s Ward, Phase Three in Linden Region 10 (Upper Demerara/Upper Berbice).

Design, operation services for landfills

The Ministry for Communities was listed as the procuring entity for five contracts.

For the consultancy for the design of a new sanitary landfill at Linden, Region 10, EXP Services Incorporated (Canada) in association with the Caribbean Engineering and Management Consultants (CEMCO) was the sole bidder.

The association was also the sole bidder for the consultancy for the design of landfill at Mahdia, Region Eight (Potaro/Siparuni). Financial proposals were submitted for both projects.

Meanwhile, tenders were open for a contact to operate the Bartica landfill, Region Seven (Cuyuni/Mazaruni).

Jagmohan Hardware Supplies and Construction Services was the sole bidder for the contract to operate the Mabaruma landfill, Region One (Barima/Waini).

The company’s bid price was announced at $46.7M.

Finally, under the Communities Ministry, tenders were open for the supply of small plastic waste collection bins for minibuses.

Jagmohan Hardware Supplies and Construction Services was also, the sole bidder for this contract with a bid price of $3.2M.

Tenders were open for the rehabilitation of the front kitchen of the Georgetown Prison Service. The Security Ministry was listed as the procuring entity.

The Infrastructure Ministry was listed as the procuring entity for the general rehabilitation of the National Task Force building in Fort Street, Kingston.

The Ministry of Indigenous People’s Affairs was listed yesterday as the procuring entity for the procurement of dry and fresh ration. This contract was divided into five Lots.
