Dear Editor,
Good day. Students attending the University of Guyana pay G$50,000 each as “facilities fee” yet there are many classrooms at UG without adequate furniture; blackboards/whiteboards; lecterns; projectors; even bins! Why is this? We are One People, One Nation and One Destiny but who are responsible for lack of improvements in classrooms at UG even though annually a lot of money is collected by UG as “facilities fee”? Why is our progress is this regard hampered, 50 years after independence? Please highlight this terrible state of affairs at UG. The students and staff and Guyanese deserve better.
