Dear Editor,
On Wednesday, January 25, 2017 my GTT DSL service went down. I thought it would have been a temporary disruption and opted not to report it immediately. By Saturday the service had not regularized and I realized that my actual telephone line 220-0178 was laden with static. I visited the GTT outlet at the Giftland Mall to report it and was told that they cannot take the complaint and that I needed to report it via telephone #0488.
This was duly done on Sunday, January 29, 2017 and I was given Ref# 1894357. I was told that it will take 3-5 days to fix, and should it not be rectified within that timeframe, I should follow-up by calling 0907 and give the representative my reference number.
I have called 0907 at least once every three days over the span of four weeks and have received a myriad of excuses and promises from the people manning that number. At the time of losing service, my DSL was paid ahead by more than a month. Will I get my money back for all the time that service was disrupted?
After countless weeks without service I am still at a loss as to when my service will resume. My son cannot do basic research on the internet. The odds are stacked against these kids. If it is not GTT it is GPL with the constant complete shutdowns…CONSTANT COMPLETE SHUTDOWNS. It means that my son cannot pack up and run to his grandparent’s house, or a friend’s house to escape the backwardness that seem to be consuming this stinking cesspool of a country because these days when you get power outages, it is not just your neighbourhood or village that gets blackout, it’s the whole damn coastline! Dear Mr. Nedd, the CEO of GTT, I need to have my telephone line/DSL fixed; your service and response time is atrocious. Your people know very well that my service has been down for almost 7 weeks now and, YES, I need my money back!
