The political scene is going to be even more interesting, with the opposition calling on the government to remove certain taxes and protesting the actions contemplated in the sugar industry. The protests in the city at this time would be the catalyst for other protests, because the climate is such that protests should be tolerated.
However, supporters would say enough is enough and would stage counter protests that would become confrontational.

A scandal is brewing in the media landscape. Bharrat Jagdeo’s fake news statement would spark a series of finger pointing at other sections that actually manufacture information to suit the opposition’s political vendetta.

Another road fatality would be recorded. A car would strike a pedestrian who was not observant enough. The car would emerge from a side street at speed and would hit the pedestrian. Things would get ugly when observers attack the driver who would turn out to be young and under the influence.
