Richard Ishmael inflicted a crushing 7-2 win over Brickdam Secondary as play in this year’s Milo 18 and under Schools Football Competition continued Saturday at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.
They were led to victory through a brace apiece from Sevon Wintyer, who netted in the 14th and 42nd minutes, Tamiel Hutson’s 52nd and 53rd and Trevon December’s 63rd and 65th minutes, while Azandee King’s 32nd minute goal completed their tally.
For Brickdam, Dequan Duke in the 24th and Kirwan Davis’ 45th were the players on target.
In other results: Christ Church edged Cummings Lodge 2-1 in an entertaining affair.
The top two finishers in each group will advance to the elimination round. The championship is slated to conclude on April 23rd.
Winner of the tourney will collect $500,000 towards a school project and the championship trophy, while the second, third and fourth placed sides will receive $300,000,$200,000 and $100,000 respectively towards a similar endeavour and trophies.
