Dear Editor,
I sought some justice and to date there is no help so I decided to share my problem with your newspaper. My name is Harry Narine Dhanraj, and I have lived at Windsor Forest since 1993. I am being been discriminated against by a certain person with authority in the NDC, since he took up his position. The issue is that I have a temporary shed on the government reserve in front of our home. I have no problem in removing it, however others occupy the reserve too and I am the only one being targeted.
In 1998 I uplifted my area plan from Lands and Survey (see copy attached), the area plan clearly indicates or shows we have access in and out of the reserve. Lots 4 and 5 of the government reserve have been occupied by a religious group which has a shed, fence and building which should also be removed. On the 13th December, 2016 and 1st February, 2017 I received a notice to remove my shed which I think is unfair, since the religious group was not informed to do the same. Why only me? Why about the other violators? Is there something unorthodox going on and how does this explain the unfair approach of the big wigs in the NDC?
On the 19th December, 2016 I asked the NDC this question (see copy attached) and copied my letter to REO of Region 3 and his AREO, the Local Government Department R.D.0 and Leslie James, Commander Leonora Police Station.
On the 24th October, 2016, I responded to the NDC’s notice dated the 19th October, 2016 by letting the NDC know I had invested several thousands of dollars to upgrade the street from lot 1 to lot 3 (see copy attached and copied to E Mc Garrell, Permanent Secretary Ministry of Housing, the AREO Region 3, the Local Government Department R.D.0 and the Commander, Leslie James of Leonora Police Station).
On the 30th April 2015 I responded to a notice from the previous NDC, prior to 2016 in which I indicated that there is a corrupt person in the NDC. I copied my letter to President Donald, Ramotar, Mr. Irfaan Ali Minister of Housing and Water, the R.E.O Region 3, and Station Sergeant. Den Amstel Police Station. I would like the public to be informed that the religious group occupies the government reserve too, a reserve that I developed, yet I am being asked to leave. This is discrimination against me.
