Teleperformance, the call centre company located on Camp and Robb Streets, Georgetown is making it clear that the parking lot bridge which the City Council claims is illegal, does not belong to the company.
The company said that for the past 25 months that Teleperformance has been in Guyana, they have done everything to ensure all of their actions are done within the laws and with the highest level of integrity. The company reported that they do not own the parking lot but rather are tenants.
The company said that, it is the personal commitment of Teleperformance to help Guyana grow through employment and education.
They believe that just as it takes a ‘village to raise a child’, it equally takes a ‘community to build an organization’.
The company said that they are very optimistic with the collaboration of all government and private entities involved in this issue and hopes that it will be resolved soon.
All further questions should be directed at the landlord of the parking lot, the company said.
On Wednesday January 25, 2017, City Council claimed that the concrete bridge to a private parking lot rented to a nearby call centre, on Camp and Church Streets was illegal. They had brought out an excavator to do works on the bridge.
