During the opening of tender yesterday at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB), 13 contractors vied for the contract to rehabilitate the Guesthouse at Lama, located at the East Demerara Water Conservancy, Region Four (Demerara/Mahaica).
The procuring entity was the National Drainage and Irrigation Authority (NDIA); the engineer’s estimate was announced at $ 28.7M.
Bids were also submitted for the rehabilitation of the Warimina Guest House, Boerasirie Conservancy, in Region Three (Essequibo Islands/West Demerara). The procuring entity was once again, the NDIA, and the engineer’s estimate was announced at $29.7M.
NDIA was also listed as the procuring entity for the construction of a relief structure at Good Hope, East Coast Demerara. The engineer’s estimate was announced at $35.6M.
The Guyana Defence Force (GDF) was listed as the procuring entity for the procurement and installation of areas one, two and three of a Global Martine Distress Safety Signal (GMDSS) System abroad the DDFS Essequibo.
The vessel is the GDF’s flagship and was acquired in September 2001, the GDF’s website states.
Tenders were open also, for the procurement and supply of emergency escape breathing devices. The procuring entity was once again, listed as the GDF.
Tenders were also opened for the supply and installation of one complete 30 kilowatt per hour (kWp) grid-connected solar photovoltaic system. The procuring entity was listed as the Guyana Energy Agency (GEA).
The GEA was also listed as the procuring entity for the delivery of Light Emitting Diode (LED) street lamps.
The Ministry of Education Department of Youth, Sport and Culture, was listed as the procuring entity for the contract of “Procurement of Commodities, Lot One to Four for the Kuru Kuru Training Centre, Soesdyke/Linden Highway.
Tenders were also opened for the procurement of commodities, Lot One to Four for the Sophia Training Centre, East Coast Demerara. The Ministry of Education’s Department of Youth, Sport and Culture, was listed as the procuring entity.
The Department was also listed as the procuring entity for the contract “Procurement of Commodities” for the New Opportunity Corps which is located at Onderneeming, Essequibo Coast, Region Three (Essequibo Islands/West Demerara).
Finally, tenders were open for the procurement of a new engine for the Liverpool pump, East Berbice Corentyne Region.
