Dear Editor,
Please permit me to voice my concern about my community, Rosignol. Since the local government election was finished, it was supposed to be the people helping to develop their communities; but to no avail. This is not done. Our NDC is taking instruction from Freedom House. Our community was supposed to earn township soon but our community is worse than a garbage dump. Our NDC is controlled by the PPP/C councillors. They are trying to destabilize our community; we never had a community meeting with the chairman to air our views and concern.
My second point is our market building that is located next to the NDC office was leased out to the owner of a certain non-functioning business and has been locked up for years now. They are fighting for prescriptive right. How can this be when this land was given up by our forefather for the purpose of serving our community? This building could be used to better serve the youth of our community. The government is about to launch the National Youth Policy; how will that help our youths? We need this building to be converted to a learning center that will cater for slow learners who were not successful at the conventional, educational system.
We need the relevant authority to look in to the operation of the ROSIGNOL-ZEELUST NDC because of the rampant financial questions that have arisen there. We the people are asking for an audit of the above NDC. Please MR President. Rosignol needs your help.
