Police in ‘C’ Division are still hunting the gunmen who shot 42-year-old Kenneth Earle and
relieved him of a bag containing $4M, shortly after he arrived at his Lot 75 Prince William Street, Plaisance, East Coast Demerara home.
Yesterday, a senior police official said that no one has been arrested in connection with the crime.
It is believed that Earle, a father of four, had been trailed from a City bank. He was shot in both legs and is hospitalized in a stable condition.
Earle is contracted by Qualfon to provide transportation services to the company’s employees. At the time of the robbery, he had withdrawn money to pay the other drivers, who worked with him.
According to reports, on Friday, Earle entered his yard with another individual, when two gunmen ran into the yard behind them and opened fire before grabbing the bag containing the cash and escaping.
