The Kennard Memorial Turf Club (KMTC) of Bush Lot, Farm Corentyne Berbice has for the umpteenth time garnered the support of the Kharag family through the Metro Office and Computer Supplies for their Boxing Day horserace meet (Monday 26th ) which will be held at Bush Lot Farm, Corentyne, Berbice starting from 12:00 hrs.
The company has committed $1.2M and the first place trophy for the feature B and Lower event.
Seven races are carded for the day with prize monies topping the $5.5M mark which includes cash, trophies and other incentives.
The feature event will be for animals classified B and lower for a winning purse of $1.2M and trophy over nine furlongs.
The event for E and lower animals has a winning purse of $500,000 and trophy with the distance being six furlongs.
The winner of the H and lower event gets $250,000 and trophy in the seven furlongs race.
There is a race for 2-years-old Guyana Bred animals with the winner set to collect $220,000 and trophy over six furlongs.
The J1 and Lower first prize is pegged at $180,000 and trophy also over six furlongs.
Animals classified K and lower will be running over 6 furlongs with the winner set to take home $150,000 and trophy.
The final event is for the L class non winners over five furlongs with the winner set to gallop away with $130,000 and trophy.
