Tyrone Kennedy was yesterday remanded to prison after he appeared before Magistrate Madan Kissoon in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
The charge read that on November 25 at Georgetown, he had in his possession one Glock .40 pistol without being a licensed firearm owner.
Police Prosecutor Kerry Bostwick objected to bail citing the nature of the offence and the fact that the firearm was found in his presence at his home.
The Prosecutor stated that there is no special reason for bail and if granted bail it’s likely that he will not return to court.
The 52-year-old was remanded and will make his next court appearance on December 13.
