Several bids were opened at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board (NPTAB) yesterday. Expressions of interest were received for consultancy services for the design and establishment of an M&E system for the security sector.
Only one bid what tendered.
Bids were also opened for the construction of a water storage facility for Senior Non Commissioned Officers’ accommodation at Base Camp Stephenson, Timehri. Six companies vied for this contract which the engineer estimated at 8.4 Million.
Expressions of interest were also received prequalification of contractors for the construction, rehabilitation and maintenance work for 2017. The procuring entity was listed as the University of Guyana. 27 companies bid for this contract.
Four companies bid for the construction of a brick prison at the Guyana Prison Services Camp Street facility, the completion and upgrade of electrical system, installation of generator set and CCTV system at the camp street prison. The engineer estimated the cost at $135.8 Million.
The procuring entity was listed as the ministry of public security.
