The inaugural Wakenaam Farmers Cup T20 tournament is set to bowl off on Sunday with several matches. At Belle Plaine, G Square Cavaliers will take on Good Success at 09:00hrs, while at the Wakenaam Community Centre ground, Sans Souci will face Maria’s Pleasure at 09:00hrs and at 13:00hrs Sans Souci Jaguars will tackle Zeelandia.
Secretary of the Wakenaam Cricket Committee Nazeer Mohamed thanked the farmers for their support and said that this competition will be played on an annual basis.
The farmers who contributed are; Ganesh Narine, Alex Chung, Farook Azad, Mohamed Kalam Zafrul, Loakram, Satnarine Singh, R. Lokram, Kishan Ramratan, Khemraj Surujpaul, Heera Munesh Sukram, Rabbie Nandalall, Azam Mohamed, Vickram Ramdhani, Julian Ramotar, Lakeram Kubeer, Rajnarine Singh, Anil Makeram, Kampta Persaud, Morty Whyte, Matthew Whyte, Sheik Ahmad, Navishal Pooran, Ajay Ghansham, Ronnie Gangaram and Andrew.
