Sans Souci Jaguars and G Square Cavaliers recorded victories when the Badri Prasad Memorial T20 competition continued on Sunday in Wakenaam.
At the Wakenaam Community Centre ground in Good Success, SS Jaguars defeated Noitgedacht SC by six wickets. Batting first, Noitgedacht SC were bowled out for 100 in 18.1 overs. Zameer Zaman claimed 2-15 and Nokta Moses 2-25. Jaguars responded with 101-4 in 12 overs. Rashaad Rasheed scored 29 while Zaman made 23.
At Belle Plaine, host G Square Cavaliers beat Jaguars by 30 runs. Cavaliers took first strike and posted 187-6. Satnarine Sahadeo struck an even half century while Chandrika Ragnauth made 46. Derwin Daniels snared 2-38 and Sanjay Jairam 2-39. Jaguars responded with 157 all out in 19.2 overs. Jairam scored 33 and Gladwyn Henry 18; Ragnauth picked up 4-32 and Kamal Khan 2-38.
Cavaliers got the better of Sans Souci by 75 runs at the said venue. Cavaliers took first turn at the crease and rattled up a mammoth 237-6. Kamal Khan stroked 67, Satnarine Sahadeo 58 and Heera Sukram 32. Seon Venture picked up 2-42 and Devon Rambarran 2-54. Sans Souci managed 162 all out in response with Venture scoring 75 and Rambarran 34. Satrohan Shiwnandan bagged 6-26 and Khan 2-26.
