Dear Editor;
Please publish this letter that was sent to President Granger.
Dear Mr. Granger I am not a good writer but I just cannot stop the need to ask you a question: Are you sure you know what you doing?
In Lethem we voted for you because we feel that you are a righteous man. We like what you tell us at the meetings you had in the region.
But I, like my friends feel that you fooled us.
Region 9 is still full of corrupt officers. You said you would clean out the place but everyday we have to look at the same officers that had us oppress. It hurting us bad. These people mean no good. They are there to give you and your government a bad name. Many people tell me that they do get problem with these same officers. It is hard to get paid. They making us look bad. Then we had heritage the other night. That was no heritage. That was a PPP meeting. The former REO was there, the MP was there, other PPP people were there; all at the head table. No APNU or AFC people were there.
The heritage turned out to be a “coast lander party,” all these “vulga” music, no Amerindian songs. Mr. President, these people want to make you serve only one round. They are always telling people that they are the next government. But can you blame them. The APNU people not coming and tell us anything. We are right next door and we don’t see them no more.
If you want to keep the government, you have to ensure that that the PPP workers are gone or transferred. You also have to let our APNU politicians come and visit us. We need them to tell us what the party is doing. We know what the government is doing but not the party.
So Mr. President I want to let you know that there are many people talking of leaving the party and joining AFC because they don’t like what APNU is doing. Please try for us.
Patricia Camildo
