Dear Editor,
The Prime Minister, according to news reports, has advised the CEO, NCN to apologise to Natasha Smith for removing her from the air because she is pregnant. There is something surreal about this entire affair. Like some dark comedy set in the 1940s.
The CEO of NCN should be fired and the Board of Directors replaced. We live in a rules based society, where laws exist to protect citizens. If the CEO and the Board did not recognise the discriminatory nature of this act then they have no place in management. I observe, with some amount of rage, that the woman becomes a supplicant, seeking equity, relying on the assertion of her rights through the acts of well intentioned third parties.
