The Guyana Badminton Association expressed pleasure with the over-all performances of its Four Member Team at the Caribbean Championships 2016 which was held in Aruba August 18-25.

According to head of the association, Gokarn Ramdhani, the Guyanese players all played at their best in both the Team and Individual Championships against Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago, Suriname, Dominican Republic, Jamaica & Aruba in a very competitive atmosphere. Although they had the smallest team (4-members) in the tournament, they still managed to stay on top.
“We are looking forward to having more support & recognition for our Players as they have proven to be the best over the last seven years medaling at almost all the tournaments they attend in the Caribbean, Pan American, South American & Inter-Guiana’s,” Ramdhani noted.
