The Turu Mission ground at Canal Bank in Region One is expected to come alive on Sunday when the finals of the Martarkai Sports Committee Super 6 male tapeball and female softball cricket competition are contested.
Commencing at starting at 12:00hrs, Sebai will take on Canal Bank in the playoff game with the winner taking on Oronoque in the final of the tapeball competition. Sebai and Four Miles will then battle for the right to meet Oronoque in the softball final.
Among the players expected to be on show are Ron Blair, Alex Allicock, Guywin James, Dick James, Sherlon Rodrigues, Amar Sahadeo, Jonathan Benjamin, Melissa Ramdeen, Lovia Mendonca, Pinky Lowe, Sylvia Benjamin, Marva Benjamin and Hermena Robinson. Cash prizes and trophies will be up for grabs.
The Martarkai Sports Committee is expressing thanks to the following companies and individuals for contributing towards the success of the competitions. Sherlon Rodrigues, Ryan James, Quincy of Guiness Bar, Matarkai NDC, International Import and Supplies, Frands Delight Restaurant @ 5 Sisters’ Hotel, Bobby Grocery Store, Mickey Confectionery, Damion Wong, PKPL, Yoyo Trucking Service, Farook Ishmael, Chiney and Daughter General Store, Ray, Babita and Norville’s Meat Centre.
There would also be added attractions for the entertainment of the kids attending.
