The final points standing in the Boys’ Under-13 competition at the Caribbean Pre-Cadet Table Tennis Championship that is currently being played at the National Indoor Sports Centre (NISC) in Jamaica places Guyana with three medals.
Trinidad and Tobago won the U-13 title with eight points, with Guyana second on seven points, Jamaica ‘A’ third on with six; Barbados was on four points with Jamaica ‘B’ team. Guyana Boys team comprised Isaiah Layne, Kaysan Ninvalle and Niron Bissu.
In the Girls’ Under-13, Trinidad and Tobago won with four points, followed by Guyana on three, and Jamaica with two points.
In the Boys’ Under-11 team event, Trinidad and Tobago won with eight points, ahead of Jamaica ‘A’ on seven, Guyana with six, Jamaica ‘B’ on four, and Barbados also with four points. In the Girls’ Under-11 team event, Trinidad and Tobago won with four points, ahead of Jamaica ‘A’ on three, and Jamaica ‘B’ with two points.
Ninvalle and Niron Bissu have reached the semi-final of the Boys Under-13 Doubles. Ninvalle and Nevaeh Clarkston have also reached the Mixed Doubles semi-final.
