Caribbean Badminton Championships 2016 – Aruba…
The Caribbean Badminton International Championships (CAREBACO) currently being played in Aruba and started on August 18 at the Centro Deportivo Sports Hall, continued Friday.
Narayan Ramdhani & Priyanna Ramdhani (top) in action against the Surinamese pair of Jascha Atmodikromo & Santusha Ramzan.
No.1 Seeded player SUNBURST Narayan Ramdhani defeated Jehu Gaskin of Barbados: 21-11, 21- 12 to reach the Semi-Finals in the Singles competition.
Jonathan Mangra lost to Shea Michael Martin of Barbados: 21-16, 21-18 in the Singles Quarter-Finals.
Priyanna Ramdhani, the youngest player in the Carebaco Under-19 International at the age 14, defeated Cheyanna Burnett-Griffith of Barbados: 21-5, 21-2 to reach the Singles Semi-Finals. This is a breakthrough for her and Guyana Badminton as it’s her first step in the Under-19 Singles Events to reach so far and a medal which will take her BWF World Ranking Points higher. Her events are usually under-15.
In the Under-19 Mix Doubles Narayan Ramdhani & Priyanna Ramdhani Defeated Jascha Atmodikromo & Santusha Ramzan of Suriname: 21-10, 21-10 to reach into the Semi-Finals.

The Tournament continues today with Finals in the Singles, Doubles and Mix Doubles.
