Host Everest defeated Harvard of Trinidad and Tobago by 17 runs in an U19 30-over
fixture played on Friday.
Openers Mark Jeffers and Rajin Sukdeo added 26 for the opening stand before Sukdeo went for 16 while Jeffers got 21. Ariel Tilku made 11, batting at number three, but following his dismissal Everest suffered a collapse with no other batsman getting into double figures, and were bowled out for 103 in 29 overs.
Adam Reyas bagged 5-12 and Josiah Herrera 5-22.
Pacers Neil Mclean and Jeffers rocked Harvard top order reducing them to 12-4. Harvard never recovered despite 36 from Herrera they were sent packing for 86 in 29.4 overs. Mc Lean who impressed with his pace grabbed 4-23, while Jeffers claimed 3-5 and Richie Looknauth 2-6.
