Mohamed’s Enterprise of 29 Lombard Street Werk-en-Rust has agreed to support the development of Linden’s main sporting facility, the Mackenzie Sports Club.
Managing Director of Mohamed’s Enterprise, Mr. Nazar Mohamed, yesterday met and had discussions with President of the MSC, Avrey Trim and 1st Vice President Aubrey ‘Shanghai’ Major at their Lombard location and cemented his intention of assisting the development of sports in the Mining Town.
Mohamed Enterprise over the years has given tremendous support to various sporting activities including the Kashif and Shanghai tournament over most of its 25 years of being staged both in Linden and in the City.
Yesterday Mr. Mohamed pledged to cover the cost of painting the MSC Pavilion and to continue its maintenance. Trim and Major in return informed that the club will rename the Pavilion the ‘Mohamed’s Enterprise’ pavilion and will do the necessary branding. Mr. Mohamed acquiesced to the decision as he pledged to the continued development of the facility and sports in the area. He noted that many Lindeners do business with his business place and apart from that it was part of his company’s effort to support youth and sport development.
That aside, Mr. Mohamed informed that he will sponsor a Futsal football tournament in Linden which has been fixed for November. This tournament is expected to attract teams from several other areas outside of Linden including Georgetown. Details will be released at a later date.
After which Mr. Mohamed handed over the sponsorship dollars to Avery Trim for the initial painting of the MSC Pavilion.
