A national tennis coach was granted bail to the tune of $15,000, for allegedly causing bodily
harm to her aunt, after hitting her with a motorcar.
It is alleged that on February 3, 2016, Shelly Ramdyhan, drove motorcar PLL 1356, in a manner which caused bodily harm to Elaine Daly.
Ramdyhan, 43, of Hadfield Street, Lodge, Georgetown, pleaded not guilty to the allegation read to her by Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan yesterday, in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts.
An Attorney for the defendant told the court that on the day in question, his client was parking her car in a driveway where Daly was standing. The lawyer explained that one of the rear view mirrors hit Daly and she retaliated by throwing an umbrella at his client.
Police Prosecutor, Deniro Jones had no objection to the defendant being granted pre-trial liberty. He said that both parties reside at the same address.
Ramdyhan will make her next court appearance on August 23, before Magistrate Dylon Bess.
