The Kendall’s Union Sports Club located on the East Coast Berbice (No.19 Village) in collaboration with friends overseas and locally continued its community relation programme in giving back to the community in various ways.
Kendall’s, which is one of the top second division clubs in Berbice, recently presented prizes and awards to the top five students of the Bohemia Primary School which is located in the area at its recently held graduation ceremony.
The Club’s President Mr. Albert Budhoo stated that they were very excited and happy to be a part of the event. He said that the club recently embarked on a number of community related activities and as such recognizing the top students from the area is in line of what the club has embarked to do.
The Executives of the club presented trophies, medals, bags, school supplies and a Lenovo Tablet (top student) to the top five students.
Mr Budhoo encouraged the students to be disciplined, dedicate their time to studies, put God in their lives and get involved in activities of the club which will be beneficial to themselves and community in a positive way.
He expressed special thanks to Metro, Mr. S. Baichan (Amar) and Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club for their assistance in making the activity a success. (Samuel Whyte
